Fond memories of boarding at Lakenheath RAF. We were stationed on RAF Alconbury but had to go to High School in Lakenheath Monday to Fridays. We were bused to Lakenheath weekly. My closest friends were Sharon Blong and Pamela Howe, who's dad was a kernel at another RAF base. I first met Sharon when we were stationed at Upper HeyFord at age 10. Then we met again at Lakenheath at age 15. Sharon still has family in Brandon England and has traveled back more often then my family. She's in Florida and I live in Massachusetts. Pam is in Virginia. We have all been in touch since returning to the USA. It's a large but sometimes very small world. We all share fond memories of England that shaped our lives and will be forever part of us. Thank you and---Go Lakenheath!! Spartans right??
